Professional Legal Support - The Legal Cell of DLS will start action on behalf of its members, as soon as the member receives any show cause notices / summons from any Court of Law under any Act or Law pertaining to Medical Profession, for which the member is required to forward the same to DLS or make a phone call on any of the help line numbers provided.
Administrative Back-up - After doing full justice to the profession, Doctors hardly get any time to take care of the cases/claims that might be lodged against them. All necessary communication and running around is done by DLS approved trained professionals with necessary inputs from medical practitioners and medical establishments.
Panel for Expert Opinion - Sometimes second opinion and/or expert opinion is required for Medico-legal cases. DLS is a Medical Defence Union of Doctors/ Medical Establishments (Members). Hence, it is easier for DLS to arrange for such an opinion. An expertise opinion / evidence could destroy the fake complaint against a member.
Medico-legal Conference / symposium – DLS organize Medico-Legal Conference / symposium where Doctors and Management of Medical Establishment will have necessary scope to discuss with our Advocates/Medical Law Experts and with their colleagues about the problem/cases related with their profession.
Status report of the cases on a day to day basis – DLS members may not bear any strain for any sorts of litigation against them for which our expert legal cell exists to defend the same. DLS will provide up-to-date development of the case report to its members. Support from Panel of Lawyers of DLS- DLS's members can avail medico-legal support through its Panel of Lawyers in local level, all over India.
Appeal/ Revision/ Review of Cases - DLS ensures Appeal before the Higher Authority, viz. State Commission / National Commission / Hon'ble Supreme Court of India against the order / decision of District Forum / State Commission / National Commission.
